We lead the always-on marketing for Escape Amsterdam, helping one of the city’s most iconic nightclubs stay visible to tourists, locals and nightlife audiences through social media, content, paid advertising, creator campaigns, offline visibility and performance tracking.

About the client

Escape Amsterdam is one of the biggest and most iconic nightclubs in the city, located on Rembrandtplein in the heart of Amsterdam. Since opening in 1986, Escape has grown into a leading nightlife destination with weekly club nights, international crowds, top-tier DJs, VIP experiences, Dine & Dance arrangements and large-scale events. Open seven days a week, Escape operates in one of the most competitive nightlife markets in Europe.

Full-Service Marketing Strategy

We built the marketing strategy around Escape’s weekly programming, tourist audience, ticket sales goals and long-term brand visibility.

Social Media Management

We manage Escape’s social presence across Instagram, TikTok and other key platforms with a consistent weekly rhythm of Reels, TikToks, stories, event updates and community interaction.

Content Production

Every week, we coordinate photo and video production inside the club, creating content around DJs, dancers, guests, VIP tables, events, nightlife moments and recurring viral formats.

Paid Advertising

We run and optimise Meta Ads and TikTok Ads, and previously Google Ads, with campaigns focused on ticket sales, event awareness, tourist reach and specific nightlife audiences.

Tracking & Performance

We set up server-side tracking through Pixel API, UTM parameters and campaign structures to make performance measurable across ads, website traffic and ticket interest.

Creator, DM & Offline Campaigns

We activate UGC creators, support AI-driven DM management and help bring Escape into the city through offline campaigns at high-traffic locations such as Schiphol and the big screen on Rembrandtplein.

The collaboration

Our collaboration started on 23 March 2023. When SOV joined, Escape needed stronger content, clearer strategy and a more performance-driven marketing structure across digital channels. We built and managed the full marketing engine: social media, content production, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Ads, e-mail campaigns, UGC creators, DM management, conversion tracking, UTM structures and offline visibility. The main challenge was clear: reach tourists while they are only in Amsterdam for a few days and turn that attention into measurable ticket sales and club visits.

Performance results

The numbers that matter.

Together with Escape, we built one of the most consistent and high-reach nightlife content machines in Amsterdam. The brand now generates more than 3 million monthly views across Instagram and TikTok, with over 100 million total video views. Viral formats such as “European rich kids ordering bottles” and “Things we find after closing” helped define Escape’s online tone of voice and created formats that other nightlife brands started copying. Alongside organic reach, paid campaigns and offline visibility at Schiphol and Rembrandtplein helped keep Escape front of mind for tourists arriving in the city.
